過去のスタッフ日記で、私の趣味の釣りについて、これまでの経験上、初めて釣行したポイントでは、周囲のよく釣れている人の釣り方を観察したり、地元ベテランに教えを乞うことが、効率よく釣果を上げるためのコツであることをご紹介しました。
今回は、ルアーやフライなど疑似餌を使う釣りのセオリーとして、よく使われる言葉「マッチ・ザ・ベイト」について、お話しします。
「マッチ・ザ・ベイト」とは、“そこに棲む魚が餌にしているものにマッチしたルアーを使え”という意味です。
（マスを毛ばりで釣る）フライ・フィッシングでは、「マッチ・ザ・ハッチ」と言い、“使うフライ（毛ばり）を選ぶ時に、今その釣り場で魚が食べ、羽化している虫に合わせろ”という意味です。
一昨日（7/20,海の日）に、知多半島の野池へブラックバスを釣りに出かけた時のことです。
釣りをしていると、自転車で乗りつけた地元の年配の方が、私の方へ近づいてきました。
私の方から、ニッコリと笑顔で「こんにちは」と挨拶をすると、地元の年配の方も笑顔で返してくれました。
釣竿を持ったライバルであれば、にらみをきかせて（笑）、“マイ・ウォーター（ここは私の釣り場）”を主張するところですが、その地元の年配の方が持っていたのは、カゴとロープでした。
「それは何をするための物ですか？」と質問すると、地元年配の方は、「この池で、モエビが獲れるという話を聞いたので、その仕掛けだよ」とのこと。
「こんな水の汚い池にモエビが居るのか？居たとしても、食べたらお腹こわすな」と疑問に思いましたが、前回のハゼ釣りの経験を踏まえ、地元年配の話を信用することにし、それまで使っていたルアーをエビの形をしたものに替えて釣り始めました。
すると！一投目から、「ゴン、ゴンッ」という明確なアタリ！
釣り上げたブラックバスは、立派な44cmでした。
口の中を覗いて見ると、モエビのひげが見えており、また、口の歯にあたる部分は、硬く、ザラザラしていました（甲殻類を捕食しているブラックバスの特徴）
その後、さらに42cm、30cm前後を3尾、合計5尾を釣り上げました。
26cmくらいの男性用のサンダルも釣りました（笑）
周囲のライバル達は全く釣れていない状況の中で、信じられない出来事でした。
「これが、マッチ・ザ・ベイトか～」
またもや地元の年配の方に助けられた私でした。

I had been wanting to know if you ever considered replacing the page layout of your site? It is well written; I enjoy what youve got to state.
