３月中旬やっと春らしさの感じられる日々となってきました。
この時期は人事異動のシーズンでもあります。
毎日のように、
退職の挨拶、人事異動のお知らせ、担当変更など飛び込んで来ます。
お世話になった人たちと４月から一緒に仕事を続けられない寂しさ、
新たに仕事をご一緒する人への期待に胸を膨らませています。
さて今回は、「無謀な地図検索機能」と題してお話します。
訪ねる場所に不安があるときは、某Webサービスの地図検索を使っています。
便利になったことは時間短縮につながり、ありがたいことです。
ストリート・ビューなる機能も追加されており、画像としても確認できます。
しかし、今回は異様な光景に気付きました。
その大変便利なストリート・ビューなる機能です。
皆さんご存じの通り、通りを歩く人から見える街並みというものです。
「自宅の画像は載っているのかな？」と思いつき、検索してみました。
なんと、自宅が鮮明な画像で見られる、いや見られているのです。
それも２枚や３枚ではなく、至近距離から３０枚以上の多さで鮮明に載っています。
塀の存在など無視して、３ｍ以上の高さから撮影されています。
歩く人から見た画像とは程遠い高さですから、宅地内が４方向から丸見えです。
“この家には簡単に入れます”“この窓は簡単に開きます”と、
発信しているようで“ゾッ”としました。
ネットに詳しい知人に話したところ、
某社には「画像を削除してください」と言った苦情が多く寄せられているとのこと。
訪問先を検索する人は居るとしても、
自宅を地図検索した人は少ないと思います。
是非、ご自宅を某Ｗｅｂ地図検索で確認してみてください。
そして、画像を確認して防犯対策を心掛けましょう！！

Hands down, Apple's app store wins by a mile. It's a huge selection of all sorts of apps vs a rather sad selection of a handful for Zune. Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I'm not sure I'd want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case.

The new Zune browser is surprisingly good, but not as good as the iPod's. It works well, but isn't as fast as Safari, and has a clunkier interface. If you occasionally plan on using the web browser that's not an issue, but if you're planning to browse the web alot from your PMP then the iPod's larger screen and better browser may be important.
