最近といいますか、少し前からよく観ているテレビ番組に『ハーバード白熱教室』というものがあります。

この番組では、ハーバード大学の政治哲学のマイケル・サンデル教授という人が行っている授業（ハーバード大学では授業は原則非公開）を公開するもので、サンデル教授が投げかける質問に対して生徒達が自分の意見を発表し、活発な議論に展開させていくという感じです。
取り扱っているテーマは、『Justice（正義）』。
例えば、難しい政治哲学の内容を日常生活で起こる出来事や有名な事件、著名な人物（オバマ大統領やイチロー選手）を例を出し、「君ならどうするか？何が正しいと思うか？その理由は？」などと生徒に問いかけ、その反論、擁護する立場の意見を次々と引き出し、そのそれぞれの立場を政治哲学者やその考え方になぞっていきます。
「そういう風に展開していくんだあ～」とか「生徒のレベルもすごいなあ」などと感心しきりなのですが、ものすごく単純なことなのですがいいなあと思うところがあります。
それは、「生徒をすごく尊重している」ところです。「発表者の名前をかならず聞いて、最後まで発表者の意見として進めていくところ」などです。
授業ですから、サンデル教授にも落としどころや意図があるとおもうのですが、必ずしも、手を上げた生徒がサンデル教授が思っている展開に寄与するとは限りません。
生徒のレベルが高いというところもあるかと思いますが、そのあたりの対応力もすごいなあ、と感じます。
私も学生の前で話をしたり、対話形式を試みることもありますが、自分の意図とは違った方向に進みはじめるとこれはまた大変なんですね、軌道修正が。
高い技術も求められますね、先生には。

This post seems to get a good ammount of visitors. How do you advertise it? It gives a nice individual twist on things. I guess having something authentic or substantial to post about is the most important thing.

There are some interesting points therein article but I don't know if I see all of them centre to heart. There is some validity but I will take hold legal opinion until I look into it further. Good clause, thanks and we want more! Added to FeedBurner too.
