最近、兵庫県の実家で50回忌の法事がありました。
50回忌を迎えたのは、わたしの祖父です。
そして同時に祖母の7回忌も行いました。
日頃、私は名古屋で仕事をしていますので、法事は普段会えない親戚に会う数少ない機会です。
祖父母の法事ということで、通常なら祖父母の長男である私の父が”しきる”ところなのですが、5年前に他界しましたので長男の私が場をしきることになります。
しきるといっても、いつも実家にいない私が上手くできるはずもなく、私の母はそういうのが苦手で、父の姉妹である２人のおばさんが楽しくリードしてくれます（笑）。
今回は、アメリカのネバダ州で暮らしている従姉妹家族も参加してくれ、色々な話に花が咲きました。
祖父が50回忌で、祖母が7回忌ということは祖父は働き盛りのころなくなっています。ちょうど今の私ぐらいの年です。当時の話をみながリアルに話してくれました。
祖父は、太平洋戦争終戦直後ではなく、しばらくたってから戻ってきたそうです。
もう帰ってこないだろうと思っていたところ、戦友の方が、「次の船で帰ってこられますよ」と自宅に伝えにきてくださったそうです。
祖父の話は戦前、祖母から戦争の話とともによく聞かされました。
祖母は、毎年、お盆になるとその話をしていました。
実家には、祖父が戦争中に撮った（撮ってもらったもの）写真も残っています。
アルバムのところどころが抜けているのですが、その理由は、
「戦地で亡くなった戦友の家族にあげたから」
と生前祖母が話してくれました。
戦地からのはがきなども祖母が読み聞かせてくれました（私では、達筆すぎてよく読めない）
家族を気遣っている、初めて生まれた長男である私の父の様子を戦地からたずねているものがとても多いです。
「昌広（私のこと）のこういうところは、おじいさん似、こういうところはお父さん似」
と私をネタにした話は尽きません。
今年もまた夏が来たなあ～と思う瞬間です。

I must say, as much as I enjoyed reading what you had to say, I couldnt help but lose interest after a while. Its as if you had a terrific grasp to the subject matter, but you forgot to include your readers. Perhaps you should think about this from more than one angle. Or maybe you shouldnt generalise so significantly. Its better if you think about what others may have to say instead of just going for a gut reaction to the topic. Think about adjusting your very own believed process and giving others who may read this the benefit of the doubt.

The Zune concentrates on being a Portable Media Player. Not a web browser. Not a game machine. Maybe in the future it'll do even better in those areas, but for now it's a fantastic way to organize and listen to your music and videos, and is without peer in that regard.
