今日、広島であってはならないことが起こってしまいました。マツダの元期間従業員による殺傷事件です。
秋葉原の事件を参考にしたのでしょうか。元の職場であるマツダの工場内、ちょうど朝の出勤ラッシュの頃、運転する車で11人を轢き（1人は死亡）、捕まったときには包丁を持っていたとのこと。その包丁が凶器として使われることはなかったようですが、それでも1人の命は奪っています。亡くなったのは、30代、生まれたばかりの子を持つ子煩悩なパパだったとか。
なぜこんなことが起きてしまったのでしょう？容疑者は、マツダに解雇され、会社に恨みがあった、と言っているようです。 が、会社側の発表では、半月ほど働いた頃に「一身上の都合」で退職したとのこと。
何か退職せざるを得ない状態に追い込まれるようなことがあったのかどうか、これからの捜査で見えてくるのかもしれません。たしかに業績が厳しく、雇用調整も行ったマツダではありますが、このケースも含めて、かといってマツダクラスの企業がムチャなことはしていないと思いますし、そもそもこの容疑者が入社したのは業績が上向いてきた今年の春です。少なくとも会社側から強圧的な退職勧奨があったというのも考え難い。
今日の事件から感じたことは1つ、
どんなにリスクヘッジしたところで、労務トラブルリスクをゼロにすることはできない。
ただ、今回と同じことが繰り返されないようにするには、まず真相を明らかにして、打てる手を打つ、ということくらいしかないのでしょう。もちろん、それもとても大事なことなのですが。
良くも悪くも、企業は人です。感情を持った人です。リスクをゼロにはできません。
この事件で実の父親を喪った子は、将来、この事件を知って何を思うだろう。

The new Zune browser is surprisingly good, but not as good as the iPod's. It works well, but isn't as fast as Safari, and has a clunkier interface. If you occasionally plan on using the web browser that's not an issue, but if you're planning to browse the web alot from your PMP then the iPod's larger screen and better browser may be important.

I'll gear this review to 2 types of people: current Zune owners who are considering an upgrade, and people trying to decide between a Zune and an iPod. (There are other players worth considering out there, like the Sony Walkman X, but I hope this gives you enough info to make an informed decision of the Zune vs players other than the iPod line as well.)

Hands down, Apple's app store wins by a mile. It's a huge selection of all sorts of apps vs a rather sad selection of a handful for Zune. Microsoft has plans, especially in the realm of games, but I'm not sure I'd want to bet on the future if this aspect is important to you. The iPod is a much better choice in that case.
